(Press release)
The sun poured through the greenhouse as vendors set up their wares at the first of four Saturday craft and flea market events last weekend at Ritchie Feed and Seed in Richmond.
The first Saturday opened with a variety of goods and goodies for the buyer at 5901 Ottawa Street. Ritchie invited vendors with wares ranging from garage sales type items to elegant crafts. Tables that otherwise would be full of plants for the gardener were heaped with selections of items to appeal to the treasure hunter and the gift buyer.
Wandering between the rows one could select from fine Italian Foods by Amina Dinardo and Domenichella and individually hand made merino wool products by Log House Cottage. They would have a hard time resisting the sweets from Dolly Doll Cupcake Company or the beautiful mitts made from recycled sweaters. Vases, clothing, baskets, videos, books, tools—it was all there.
As the month progresses, additional vendors are scheduled to display their goods each Saturday leading up to the Christmas open house November 28th weekend. The site is very accessible, bright and spacious. Located at the corner of McCordick Road (Eagleson becomes McCordick at Perth Street) and Ottawa Street it is easy to find.
