Safety first for return of children to Stittsville Child Care Centre

The Stittsville Child Care Centre is again accepting children to their daycare on Stittsville Main Street. Having decided to re-open, Nadean and Pouran want to ensure the safe return of children while assuring parents of the procedures they have put in place.

Following Ottawa Public Health guidelines, they are asking that parents take their child’s temperature prior to leaving home for the daycare. Note that any temperature above 37.8 Celsius will require the child to stay home. When the temperature is noted and the child is below the threshold, they will be allowed to enter with a designated teacher. They are also sending, via email, screening questions for review by parents when dropping off their children.

The staff will continue to do temperature checks mid-day and document the results. Should a child or educator present with any symptoms, parents will be notified.

Nadean and Pouran are looking forward to seeing their tiny tots and parents again and wanted to share this information as a public service announcement.
