With Remembrance Day having recently taken place, “Forgotten Heroes: Mississippi Mills Valour Award Recipients of the Great War” will be the topic presented by the Goulbourn Township Historical Society November 19th, with guest speaker Brian Tackaberry.
His presentation will be based on his new book and will be available for purchase at the event. Brian will elaborate on our local heroes who enlisted, about the various battalions and battles in which they fought – in addition to life on the home front – all in connection to Goulbourn Township and area.
The event will take place on Saturday, November 19 at 1:30 p.m. at the Stittsville Legion Hall. Parking, refreshments and the event are free. There is handicapped accessibility at the North side door of the Legion. Remember to bring a friend or neighbour and enjoy what will be an informative afternoon.
