Saving best for last – Stittsville Villa and Manor receive final vaccinations

(Ben and his team arrive at the Stittsville Revera Villa and Manor to deliver the final COVID-19 vaccinations to the residents and tenants.)

It was a fantastic way to celebrate St. Patrick’s week! The amazing Ottawa Paramedics and Ottawa Public Health teams converged on the Stittsville Revera Villa and Manor ready to deliver the final COVID-19 vaccinations to the residents and tenants. All of the residents are now fully vaccinated!

Upon arrival, the team was welcomed by applauding and cheering staff, with loud rock music playing in the background. A well deserved welcome for sure!

The teams commented that they enjoyed spending time with the residents. Many laughs were had by everyone and it was certainly a different visit from what the health teams are used to.

One of the Villa residents, Mimm, had written 30 personal thank you cards for the vaccine team. The cards were handed out along with individually gift wrapped homemade shamrock cookies and a package of lifesavers to show everyone’s appreciation for the work of the team.

The Paramedic team, led by Ben, said, “the Villa was the most organized, fun and upbeat residence they have been at”. Albeit the last residence in Ottawa to be vaccinated, Ben exclaimed, “we were saving the best for last”.
