The SouthWest Stittsville Community Association is excited to invite its Community Residents to a BBQ in Coyote Park Saturday June 20th starting at noon.

This is an inaugural event for this newly founded Community Association that includes more than 1,000 homes in the Cypress Gardens, Deer Run, Traditions and Fernbank/Etta communities.

“Every home west of Main Street/Huntley and south of Abbott is part of our current catchment.” Jillian McKim, Co-Chair “We hope that they will come out to join us on June 20. We already engage so much online with great Facebook groups like Stittsville Mom and Stittsville Neighbours, it would be so nice to put faces to names.”

The Community Association is also seeking the assistance of community members to help with the BBQ.

“We need help making and putting up posters in the community and on the day at the BBQs and ticket tables” Jennifer de Sa, Treasurer “Funds raised at the BBQ will be directed to initiatives for community engagement” If you’d like to volunteer sign up on Volunteer Spot http://bit.do/bbqvolunteerv

Community members can get involved with the Association via email at swscommunityassociation@gmail.com or on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/groups/swsca “All are welcome. We’d love to have members from all areas of our catchment to engage their neighbours.” says McKim
