St. Paul’s Anglican Church and Chartwell Stonehaven come together to accept donations for the Ottawa Mission

During these cold days of winter, can you imagine not having the warm clothing needed by those in need to get through their day? For this reason, Marianka, of Chartwell Stonehaven in Bridlewood, told us, “we have recently teamed up with St. Paul’s Anglican Church to collect donations for the Ottawa Mission and various other Ottawa not-for-profit organizations who serve the vulnerable community”.

St. Paul’s have informed the folks at Chartwell that in addition to the requirement for warm clothing, Kanata’s most vulnerable are struggling to find work. Sadly, many of those people seeking employment are women who don’t have the means to properly prepare for an interview during their job search. So the Church has asked if, along with warm clothing, items such as toiletries for both women and men are more than welcome. Other gifts-in-kind items, such as perfumes, knitted hats, gloves and outdoor clothing are more than being welcomed as donations.

St. Paul’s and Chartwell have a simple mantra for their joint initiative – ‘We Rise By Lifting Others’.

Every Wednesday, Bill from St. Paul’s, will be present at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, located at 20 Young Road in Kanata, to accept your donations by 2:00pm in the donation bin located at the Church.

If you can, please provide a donation of warm clothes and toiletries to help out our Kanata and Ottawa neighbours. St. Paul’s and Chartwell thank you.
