Mark your calendars — the Stittsville and District Lions Club is hosting the 2019 District A4 Lions Governor’s Golf Tournament on Sunday, August 18th.
The Tournament is a fundraiser with all proceeds going to Youth Diabetes to enable children with diabetes to attend Camp Banting East and Childhood Cancer.
Being played at The Canadian Golf and Country Club, 7800 Golf Club Way (formerly Hwy. 7), it will be a best ball scramble game. Same day registration is at 11:30 a.m. A shot gun start will have you heading to the first hole. There are plenty of prize chances throughout the day — mulligans at 3/$5; a putting contest; men and ladies longest drive, closest to the pin, closest to the curve line; antique club and the longest marshmallow drive.
Early online registration is now open. The cost is $115.00 per person prior to June 30th and includes golf game, golf cart, prizes and dinner. After June 30th, the cost rises to $125.00 per person.
