The 37 year old Stittsville Friendship Club has over 250 members providing an avenue for seniors to enjoy a meaningful life and interaction with the Stittsville community. The Friendship Club offers entertainment and events for all seniors – from exercise classes, card tournaments, monthly luncheons and bi-monthly trips to local events.The Club performs some super work here in our community by supporting local organizations such as the Stittsville Food Bank, Stittsville Legion and the Ottawa Hospice. Stittsville’s business community have always been supportive with donations to and sponsorship of the Friendship Club’s activities and especially their upcoming golf tournament.
The Second Annual Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, June 22nd at the Madawaska Golf Course in Arnprior to raise funds for the Club and local charities. The goal of reaching $500 to support senior activities in Stittsville and $500 to support local charities is an objective set by the Club and can be easily achieved with your support.
Doug McCrady, President of The Friendship Club, had this to say about the support received from the community for the golf tournament, “The Stittsville Friendship Club is very proud of the efforts of our volunteer members as well as the business community in Stittsville and Kanata for actively supporting our seniors in many activities throughout the year and particularly for this event.” He went on to say, “The Club hopes to exceed its donations to the Stittsville Foodbank and the Ottawa Hospice that we were able to raise last year.”

For $65.00, your participation will include 18 holes and a cart; a gift upon arrival for all participants; bottled water and snacks in each cart; BBQ luncheon; incredible prizes including Team and Individual prizes; a Share the Wealth Draw and a Silent Auction. Registration to enter the tournament closes on Thursday, June 20th.
