From 11:30 am – 1:30 pm the West Ottawa Ringette Association is holding their annual ‘Come Try Ringette’ session at the Cardel-Rec Recreation Complex-Goulbourn on Shea Road. This FREE session is for children ages 4 and up. Bring a helmet, skates and gloves/mitts. The Ringette Association is providing all the rest. Parents will also be able to ask some questions of the ringette players, the coaches and reps. Register by emailing secretary@westottawaringette.com. If you show before 11:00 am you can catch the U19A Ringette team take on the Les Intrepides from Montreal.
St. Thomas Anglican Church is holding their Open Table Community Meal from 4:30 – 6:30 pm. The doors open at 4:00 pm. The meal is free, but donations are appreciated. The Church is located on Stittsville Main at the corner of Carleton-Cathcart Street.
Want to enjoy some great food and play some fun games with the family or friends? The Stittsville United Church has their Community Pot Luck and Games Night. This fun event kicks off at 5:00 pm. The Church is located at Stittsville Main and Fernbank Road.
Brew Revolution has the Brew Crew and Sister Disaster playing some rock covers from 8:00 -11:00 pm. Brew Revolution is located in the Jackson Trails Centre at Stittsville Main and Hazeldean Road.
This weekend marks the start of the Ottawa West Arts Association art exhibit at the Cardelrec-Recreation Complex-Goulbourn on Shea Road that runs from January 11 – March 13. This latest exhibition is entitled, ‘TRAVEL’, and highlights destinations, near and far, real and imaginary. You can view the FREE exhibit 7 days a week from 7:00 am – 8:00 pm. Don’t forget to complete your People’s Choice ballot for your favourite pieces while there. Cardelrec is located at 1500 Shea Road.
