The Stittsville Knights of Columbus (SKoC) are pleased to be working with the City of Ottawa, The Stittsville Foodbank and Chrysalis House to offer a wonderful re-opening celebration for Stittsville, Kanata, Richmond, Carp and areas! The Knights will be holding several Love Local FUNdraisers with the first event slated for April 18, 2021.
Each FUNdraiser will feature local artisans, crafters, creators and growers from our own neighbourhoods and local area. If you have a passion for creating, the Knights of Columbus are looking for 30 or more vendors to participate. Events will be held at Stittsville Village Square and will take place all day.
If you are a student looking to fill some volunteer hours, this is the event for you. Visit the SKoC Facebook page to find out more or to send a message to volunteer.
The Knights plan on organizing other events throughout the summer, but opted to start in April. Vendors can rent a 10 X 10 space for $25 that is socially-distanced between vendor tents. As a vendor, if you require additional chairs, heaters, tables or even a tent, they are available for a small additional charge. Registration is now open for vendors.
To register, vendors can:
- Visit the Knights of Columbus FUNdraiser in the Park on Facebook and send a message;
- Send a message directly on the SKoC Facebook page;
- Send an email to Joseph Carbonetto at carbonejoseph@aim.com
- Call 613-290-0250, leaving a message with your name and other details, (i.e. crafter, creator, etc.), return phone or text number and any questions you may have.
In response, vendors will receive an application form to complete.
In the event that the FUNdraiser is cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions, any money paid is ‘fully refundable’, guaranteeing that the pandemic will not create any losses for vendors.
With everyone experiencing the pressures of the pandemic, take the time to enjoy a Spring day and get out on April 18 to support the local vendors, Stittsville Foodbank and Chrysalis House. You never know what you may discover while supporting our local charities!
