The TD Summer Reading Club (TD SRC) is taking place this summer at the Stittsville Library for kids aged 12 and under. This year’s lively theme is ‘Natural World’.
You can register your child for TD SRC in person at the Stittsville branch. Registration for TD SRC is possible anytime through the summer until the programs end Sunday, September 1, 2019.
Kids participating in the club will receive a special notebook to track their reading progress, a web access code for the virtual club on the TD SRC website, stickers, and the chance to win prizes. Kids can participate in the TDSRC – for free – anytime, anywhere: at our local branch, at home, online, on the road, wherever summer takes you, or at any of the participating public libraries across Canada. Accessibility is key and the public library provides materials in alternative accessible formats, such as audio materials or Braille.

Why join the TD Summer Reading Club? For school-aged children, summer can mean regression in their reading skills. The TD SRC provides summer long access to books and literacy-based programming while making reading fun! Last year, many parents with children who participated in the TD SRC said the program helped their children maintain their reading skills over the summer, and noticed a positive difference when their kids returned to school in the autumn!
Last year, more than 23,500 children were registered for the TD Summer Reading Club in the Ottawa Public Library (OPL) system and read more than 314,200 books.
