Stittsville Parade of Lights is this Saturday, and they rather urgently need more volunteers

There’s an urgent need for volunteers at the Parade of Lights November 29 from 5:30pm until end of parade.

There are lots of tasks that you can help with, including standing by traffic barricades along the parade route. It’s a great way for students 16+ (younger may be accompanied by an adult) to gain community service hours while taking in the parade.

If you can help please contact the Stittsville Village Association.

  1. PARADE OF LIGHTS……..why call it that, it isn’t, we celebrate “Christmas” in Canada this time of year, that’s why we have Santa Claus. My god stop this political correctness, it’s Christmas in Canada.

  2. Why not call it that? It’s a Christmas themed PARADE with floats covered in Christmas decorations including LIGHTS. Thus, a PARADE OF LIGHTS.
