Outstanding effort from all 16 boys who won the Cougar Cup this past weekend.
The Gloucester Cougar Cup tournament ran from January 27 to 29th and included hockey teams from all over Ontario and Quebec. The weekend hosted some very close and exciting games for the Stittsville Peewee team that led them into the semi-finals on Sunday.
The semi-final resulted a tight 1-0 win against the Ottawa East Kings, who’s goalie had been undefeated all weekend! The Championship game was an amazing 5-0 win and the Ice Hawks took the cup! Two remarkable shut outs for the goaltenders in the tournament playoffs!
With continuous back and forth play, there was some great teamwork and effort from each and every player. Great job and a huge congrats to all the Stittsville Ice Hawks!
