Registration for softball is now open for boys and girls ages four to 20 years in Stittsville and the surrounding area with the Stittsville Minor Softball Association (SMSA).
Parents can register their children on-line at www.stittsvillesoftball.org or they can do it in-person on March 8th from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Stittsville Sobeys (upstairs community room) at 6315 Hazeldean Road or on April 10th at the Bell Sensplex Fieldhouse from 1:00-8:00 p.m. at 1565 Maple Grove Road. Registration closes April 10th. The season begins on May 1st.
All registrations received by March 15th will be entered into a draw for a chance to win a free registration (value of one full registration fee). New this year, SMSA is featuring a Bring A Friend Campaign which encourages current players to register a friend who has never played with SMSA previously and the association will ensure that you will be put on the same team.
It isn’t necessary to have previous experience playing softball to have fun in the SMSA. Teams are formed with players of all abilities and new friendships are formed throughout the season. There is the Fun League for boys and girls born 2008 through 2012 and the House League is for boys and girls born 1995 through 2007.
