Friday, January 25th found the new Whole Health Pharmacy in Stittsville packed with people for the grand opening of Avish Shah’s new pharmacy at 1609 Main Street. This event provided Stittsville residents the opportunity to meet Avish personally and for him to meet the residents and answer any questions they may have.

There to celebrate and take part in the ribbon cutting ceremony, were Goldie Ghamari, local PC MPP for Carleton and Glen Gower, Councillor for Stittsville Ward 6. After the ribbon cutting took place, formal presentations were made by both Ghamari and Gower welcoming Avish and Whole Health Pharmacy to Stittsville.

Avish has resided in Stittsville for the past eight years and wants to be able to give back to his community as his family’s roots have made Stittsville their home. He has been a pharmacist for 15 years and spent the past eight years commuting daily to his formerly-owned pharmacy in Perth prior to opening his new solely-owned pharmacy here.

Avish’s philosophy is that his patients’ health comes first. Avish provides one-on-one personal consultations offering advice on medical conditions and prescription management.

Everyone was invited to enjoy the many finger snacks and beverages offered at the event. Some of the food vendors who sell their healthy products in the shop were available to answer questions and offered sample tastings of their food. And, of course, there was the celebratory cake for all to share.
