Zida Academy, the private school at the old Ottawa Waldorf School location on Goulbourn Street, is hosting a grand opening celebration on Sunday, August 28. The event happens from 1pm to 4pm and it’s open to the public.
The owners have spent the past few months doing an overhaul of the facility, including new roofing, interiors, security fencing and internet wiring.
“We recently became partner with a trampoline manufacturer to turn a portion of our school premise into a trampoline park. We have also invested heavily on technology and connectivity with plans to create online classes and bringing our program offerings to students around the world,” says owner Sheng Lan.
Lan says special guests at the opening will include music/dance/theatre teacher, Samantha Pierre, who graduated from Canterbury High School in Ottawa over a year ago and who started learning vocal at the music school at age 7. She won Miss Teenage Canada and will be there to support her students who will be performing at the grand opening.
