The Ottawa Police are investigating a single motor vehicle accident at Carp Road at Hazeldean Road that occurred at 5:00am this morning. One person was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
An off-duty Ottawa Paramedic on her way home after her night shift was the first person on the scene and provided initial care.
Paramedics treated a male age 24 for multi-system trauma and a possible spinal injury following the violent rollover of his vehicle. The male was ejected from the vehicle and was on the ground near the car. The male was unconscious and had no feeling in his legs following the collision.
The 24 year-old is in serious condition at the Ottawa Trauma Centre.
All roads have since re-opened.
