What do Santa, donuts and real estate have in common – the Stittsville Food Bank of course

The idea was sparked by the Chris Scott Real Estate team in Stittsville – raise funds for the Stittsville Food Bank in lieu of their annual ‘epic’ Christmas client party. Santa was in, Maverick’s Donuts of Stittsville were in and the entire team at Chris Scott. A ‘Plan’ was put in place.

Chris told us of ‘The Plan’ – Maverick’s would donate 20 boxes of their specialty holiday donuts to be sold online at $50 per box by the Chris Scott team. For every box sold, the Scott team would match the $50. Santa, who had played a major role at the company Christmas parties for 5 years, would do the deliveries.

With the ‘plan’ in play, the donuts sold out in two hours and $2,000 was raised for the Stittsville Food Bank! That meant Santa and his elves would be making a valuable delivery to homes throughout Stittsville on December 12. According to Chris, “Santa’s the real deal and volunteered his time to be a big part of our fundraising plan.”

“We are going to grow on this next year,” said Chris. “We want to make this an annual event with Santa visiting Stittsville helping us with our Christmas fund raising activities.” “We want to support all – local businesses and especially our food bank…we thank everyone who supported our event this year.”

There was also a special stop and delivery on Santa’s visit – the Griswolds! It was no surprise that Santa couldn’t resist dropping in on the Turcotte family who have brought so much holiday spirit to Stittsville.
