This spring, the West Ottawa Ladies Chorus have selected the theme for their concerts as “Music From the Movies”, providing a nice upbeat selection for spring. The audience will hear, for instance, Edelweiss from The Sound of Music, Moon River from Breakfast at Tiffany’s, My Heart Will Go On from Titanic, and When You Believe from The Prince of Egypt. They will also have the opportunity to sing along with a couple of tunes from Mamma Mia.
We are a group of about 40 women, singing in four-part harmony, directed by Allison Houston and accompanied by Peter Brown. There will also be a special musical guest, violinist Debbie Hammond.
Tickets are available for $20 in advance from Chorus members and through our website, westottawaladieschorus.ca. At the door, tickets will be $25. Children under 12 can attend free of charge.
