The ALS Canada Walk to End ALS is a community-driven event for people living with or affected by ALS, as well as those who want to help create a world free of ALS.
Whether you attend the Ottawa event or take part virtually, you will join thousands of others across the country coming together to support people affected by ALS.
Join a walk and come together to celebrate and honour the people we have loved and lost to this disease and show support for Canadians and their families living with ALS!
Here are some details about the Ottawa Walk:
• Free parking on-site at Tony Graham Recreation Complex & Walter Baker Park
• The Walk will take place at the Walter Baker Park onto Terry Fox Drive around Hazeldean Road and turning right back into the Walter Baker Park around the pond to the finish line. Follow Lead Marshals to guide you along!
• Pre-packaged food and beverages will be available at your event for you to enjoy. You are welcome to bring snacks and enjoy a picnic with friends and family after you walk!
• Please also remember to bring some water on your walk.
• Each Walk location will include an Activity Zone with supplies and craft materials such as bristol board, markers, etc.
• Participants are encouraged to make their own sign to carry on the route, raising awareness of ALS or honouring the person they are walking for.
