Exciting news for Stittsville basketball and pickleball players – new indoor courts are on the way

A new indoor gymnasium project on the Everybody Growing Church campus in Stittsville will be coming soon. The Church is currently working closely with the City of Ottawa to finalize Site Plan Approval and secure the necessary permits to break ground. A detailed construction schedule will be shared in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, some thrilling news, a new gym space will be ready for use this coming November 2026 right on the Everybody Growing Church campus at 2031 Stittsville Main Street! This investment reflects their shared commitment to expanding local access to high-quality athletic facilities for basketball, pickleball, and other community activities.

Mark Wacyk stated, “as most in our community know, the shortage of indoor capacity is real. That’s why I am incredibly excited to share a major double-update on our project with the OneCourt Alliance / Everybody Growing Church new build gymnasium project in Stittsville!”

“To help address the acute crunch right now, Everybody Growing Church is opening a converted indoor gymnasium space on campus this fall! This space will bring much-needed, immediate relief to local players and leagues. The Specs: A 44’ x 74’ facility with brand-new athletic flooring; For Basketball: Two ceiling-mounted glass backboards, perfect for minor and adult programs; and For Pickleball: Three regulation-sized courts ready for community play,” shared Wacyk.

Added Wacyk, “Over the last 3–4 months, our project team has been grinding through the essential pre-construction phase to ensure our brand-new, FIBA-sized indoor gymnasium meets all City of Ottawa requirements resulting from our pre-consult. We are targeting early September to submit our official Site Plan Approval (SPA) application. Residents should expect a detailed construction schedule update from us in late September or early October.”

“We are making tangible progress toward giving our community the high-quality indoor space it deserves— giving our community better access to top-tier athletic spaces.”
