Fall Colours Walk – Mississippi Madawaska Land Trust

The Mississippi Madawaska Land Trust invites the community to join them for the annual Fall Colours Walk on Saturday, October 3rd (rain date: October 4), hosted generously by Howard Clifford and his family at their spectacular cliffLAND property. This special fundraising day has become a cherished tradition supporting MMLT’s conservation work across the Mississippi–Madawaska region.

Drop by anytime between 10 am and 2 pm to explore the trails, enjoy the forest, and take in the famous summit view. Recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of Lanark County, Blueberry Mountain offers sweeping vistas that showcase the full glory of the fall landscape.

Along the way, visitors can pause at the Circle of Gratitude, a meaningful installation honouring MMLT’s dedicated supporters.

MMLT staff and experts will also be on-site. Whether you’re curious about the land trust’s ongoing projects, migratory birds, or unique geological features, we’ll be delighted to share our knowledge and connect with you.

Event Details & Tips:

Location: Blueberry Mountain is located at 502 Hills of Peace Rd, Lanark, ON, K0G 1K0.
Parking: Available at the trailhead.
Trail: The trail is 5 km (round trip) with a gradual ascent through the forest, passing a waterfall, and a short, steep (185m) climb to reach the lookout.
Refreshments: Light refreshments will be available.
Pets: Leashed dogs are welcome!
Facilities: An outhouse-style washroom is located along Blueberry Mountain trail.
Merchandise & Donations: MMLT merchandise will be available, and donations will be gratefully accepted at the welcome desk.
Outfit: Dress for the weather! Layers are a good idea when hiking at this time of year.
