The Stittsville Library dedicates their Art Space Wall to local artists and photographers providing an exhibit space for artists to share their work with visitors to the library. Each month the Wall is dedicated to artwork or displays by individuals or groups. For the month of October, Bethany will be displaying her watercolour paintings for library visitors to enjoy.

Bethany is a self-taught artist who is autistic and finds solace in capturing beauty through her paintbrush. Art serves as a powerful non-verbal language and sensory outlet for autistic individuals, helping with self-expression, emotional regulation, and communication. Each watercolour by Bethany reflects the world and the wonders she sees.
Bethany shared, “I hope I am making both my grandmothers proud because they were both artists as well”.

Bethany is pleased to share this exhibit for residents to view – it is her second showing at the Library. In June of last year Bethany exhibited her Canadian themed artwork. Her colourful compositions are inspired through her emotions through the sharing of an artistic message while also showcasing her talent with a paintbrush.
When you visit the Stittsville Library, take some time to view Bethany’s exhibit and appreciate her artwork.
