Join me for our third annual Jane’s Walk on Stittsville Main Street.

This year the theme is “Re-imagining Stittsville Main” and we’ll explore the past, present and future of Stittsville Main Street. Our community is in the midst of a transition from a rural village to a bustling suburban centre, and at the heart of all the action is the historic main street. Once a stop along the railway, a number of new shops and developments are at the forefront of a new era for the historic part of the village. We’ll visit some of these new developments and hear ideas about what the street could become in the future.

The walk starts and ends at Village Square Park at the corner of Stittsville Main Street & Abbott Street in Stittsville.  The walk begins at 9:30am and lasts approximately one hour.

It’s part of Jane’s Walk Ottawa, featuring walks all over the city on May 5-6, 2018. Jane’s Walk is a festival of free neighbourhood walking tours that help put people in touch with their city, the things that happen around them, the built environment, the natural environment, and especially with each other.
