Stittsville United Church is hosting a very special speaker. Roslyn Franken has written a book called “Meant To Be,” which is the inspiring story of her mother (a survivor of Auschwitz) and her father (a POW in Japan). Join us for a special Remembrance Day presentation as Roslyn Franken tells the remarkable story of her book, about how her parents survived captivity continents apart during WWII in the most unlikely of circumstances, and met to find everlasting love in Canada, against all odds.
Be inspired by her parents’ amazing saga of survival, love and triumph over tragedy. Her parents’ story was the subject of a CBC Gemini award-nominated television documentary and a feature length movie adaptation of Roslyn’s book is currently under development.
You will have the opportunity to meet Roslyn and have your booked signed personally. Refreshments will be served.
