Friends of Stittsville Wetlands – iNaturalist Field Training Session

 

The Friends of Stittsville Wetlands are hosting an  iNaturalist Field Training Session as part of their effort to learn more about the fragile and ecologically significant Goulbourn Wetland Complex.

Owen Clarkin, the lead trainer, is the First Vice-President and Chair of the Conservation Committee, Ottawa Field Naturalists’ Club. The Ottawa Field Naturalists’ Club was founded in 1863 and incorporated in 1879. The OFNC is Canada’s oldest natural history club.

iNaturalist is an online social network of people sharing biodiversity information to help each other learn about nature.

The walk will take place along the TransCanada Trail to the viewing platform and return (approximately 2+kms.)

Meet at the Trail Head by 9:20am – intersection of Westridge Drive and Abbott Street. Space is limited to 30 people. To register or discover more, visit this link.
