The Kanata Wind Ensemble is excited to announce its upcoming concert, “Overtures,” on at Parkdale United Church, 429 Parkdale Avenue, under the direction of Gerry Stephenson and R. Duane Hendricks.
Join the Kanata Wind Ensemble for a concert entirely of overtures! They will be playing special arrangements of old favourites like “Barber of Seville” and “Die Fledermaus” as well as some seldom-heard overtures like Gershwin’s “A Cuban Overture” and Malcolm Arnold’s magical “Tam O’Shanter Overture”. Also on the program – Bernstein’s “Overture to Candide” and Kabalevsky’s “Colas-Breugnon Overture”. You won’t want to miss this exciting program played by some of Ottawa’s finest musicians!

About the Kanata Wind Ensemble – The Kanata Wind Ensemble was formed in 2022 and has quickly gained a reputation as one of Ottawa’s finest classical music groups. This 38-piece ensemble is composed of talented wind, brass and percussion players from Ottawa and surrounding areas.
