The Rotary Club of Ottawa-Stittsville, in partnership with the Legacy of Hope Foundation, is proud to host a Truth and Reconciliation Event on September 30, 2026.
This gathering will honour the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation — a time for reflection, learning, and community connection as we walk together toward a more just and inclusive Canada.
The Legacy of Hope Foundation (LHF) has spent over 25 years educating Canadians about the history and lasting impacts of Residential and Day Schools, the Child Welfare System, and systemic racism faced by First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples. Their work encourages people to address racism and discrimination so as to contribute to the equality, dignity, and just relationships among all and to build understanding, compassion, and action — keys to meaningful and lasting Reconciliation.
Peace and Conflict Resolution is a core pillar of Rotary International’s mission, and our Rotary Club of Ottawa-Stittsville has a long-standing commitment to supporting Indigenous organizations in this spirit. (stittsvillerotary.com)
