The Ottawa Chapter of Right to Learn Afghanistan, is holding a Red Pashmina Walk in Stittsville. This is the Ottawa chapter’s first year to do the walk. The walk will start from the CARDELRec Complex-Goulbourn, 1500 Shea Road and will continue along the Trans Canada Trail to Robert Grant at Paul Desmarais High School and return to the CARDELRec Complex-Goulbourn for refreshments and mingling with the other participants.
Red pashminas are a symbol of solidarity with Afghan women. Right to Learn Afghanistan’s mission is to make the right to education a reality for Afghan girls and women. The walk is held in several cities across the country.
