Once again Barb Forbes and the volunteers at the Legion produced an excellent spread for our Easter Luncheon. The menu included Beef Stew, Salad, Desert, Tea and Coffee. The desert was a hit with everyone again and some were heard to recommend that it become a mandatory item on the menu.
Many thanks to the Royal Canadian Legion, Stittsville, Branch 618 and all the kitchen volunteers for hosting our luncheon and providing such great food.
The musical entertainment was provided by “Jumpin” Jimmy Leroux who entertained us with a steady stream of jokes and a great selection of old favourites.
In addition to the Legion volunteers, kudos go to Helen James for coordinating the Luncheon Menu, Donna Cadieux for organizing entertainment, and Barb Vant’Slot for organizing the hall.
We also had a visit from Goldie Ghamari, the Ontario PC Candidate for Carleton. Goldie addressed our group and invited everyone to attend her “Carleton Conversations” meeting at the Goulbourn Recreation Complex Main Hall on Thursday April 5, 7-8:30 pm.
Our next Luncheon will be held Wednesday April 25, 12:00 noon at Stittsville Legion. The menu for the Luncheon Meeting will include Pork Tenderloin, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Salad, Desert, Tea and Coffee.
The musical entertainment for the April Luncheon will be provided by the group “Forever Friends”
