Secure your valuables. After a series of break-ins during daytime hours this week in the Stittsville, Kanata, Barrhaven and Orleans residential neighbourhoods, this is the message the Ottawa Police Break and Enter Section is communicating as they currently investigate these burglaries.
This is a reminder to the public that if you are going to keep your valuables at home, store them in a proper safe, in a properly secured location. Use a location other than the bedroom or closet for your valuables.
Maintain indications that someone is in the home while you are out as this will also be a deterrent to would be robbers.
