On Saturday, October 15, residents from the Bryanston Gate neighbourhood gathered at the local park to enjoy a beautiful autumn day and their newly-formed community association’s first social event: a Pumpkin Social!
Everyone was treated to a free BBQ, drinks, and treats, as well as orchard apples and pumpkins to take home. Thanks to the generosity of local businesses, there were wonderful raffle prizes to be won, as well as giveaways on site. The police cruiser and ambulance were a real attraction for little ones! Families enjoyed the Giant Jenga and Tic Tac Toe games, face painting, cookie decorating, and treats from the old-fashioned popcorn machine.
Dorothy Williamson, President of the BGCA, was delighted with the turnout and received many positive comments about the afternoon’s festivities.
