Canadian Chamber Choir to perform at Stittsville’s St. Thomas Anglican Church

In partnership with the Goulbourn Jubilee Singers, the Juno-nominated Canadian Chamber Choir will bring their acclaimed, all-Canadian ‘Seasons of Life and Landscape’ concert program to Stittsville on Thursday, March 21. The performance will take place at St. Thomas Anglican Church in Stittsville from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m.

A group of 21 professional singers from across Canada, the Canadian Chamber Choir is under the direction of Dr. Julia Davids. The Choir has received rave reviews and has fans spanning Canada and around the world. The Choir’s most recent recording, entitled “Sacred Reflections of Canada – a Canadian Mass” was nominated for a 2016 Juno Award (the Canadian version of the Grammy Awards) for Outstanding Classical Recording: Vocal or Choral.

Guest instrumentalists will be joining this performance – Keith Hamm, viola; Beverley Johnston, vibraphone; and Jeff Reilly, bass clarinet. The Choir’s repertoire will comprise of Laura Hawley’s ‘In Song’ and music by Imant Raminsh, Allan Bevan, Jeff Enns, with others.

The concert is one of only four performances on the Canadian Chamber Choir’s upcoming tour of Ottawa and Kingston, which runs March 16-24.
