Everything Christmas – that is what Goulbourn Museum shared with everyone at their Old-Fashioned Christmas and Outdoor Artisan Market. The weather could not have been more perfect for this long-awaited annual event.
With over 1200 people attending throughout the day and 40 dozen Christmas cookies baked with love by museum volunteer Lynn Griffiths that disappeared in short time, this year’s market could be one of pride for the Museum staff and volunteers.
Something for everyone could be found at this year’s market. Entertainment for the children, a visit with Santa, letter writing to Santa, goats to feed, toasted marshmallows, hot chocolate and cider and watching the outside artisans at work. Visiting the talented vendors made for some touch choices when it came to buying their homemade wares. Mayor Jim Watson dropped in and couldn’t resist the shortbread he left with. Councillor Glen Gower dropped in with his family as well to get caught up in the spirit.
As is usual, the Goulbourn Museum staff, Board members and volunteers have again created the perfect Christmas market bringing back all of our nostalgic memories.
