For all of you fantastic volunteers from Stittsville who have helped or are planning to assist tomorrow with the flood efforts in Constance Bay. Concentration is now being giving to our neighbours of West Carleton-March. If you are making plans to volunteer tomorrow (May 2) here is some important information.
Volunteers have been the backbone of City’s efforts in response to flooding. As the situation continues to evolve, the City is temporarily redirecting volunteers to the West Carleton-March communities to concentrate efforts.
Volunteers are asked to check in as follows:
Date: Thursday, May 2
Time: 9 am to 7 pm
Location: Dunrobin Community Centre at 1151 Thomas A. Dolan Parkway. A shuttle will transport volunteers between the community centre and the affected areas in West Carleton-March.
There will be no volunteer check-in at the Cumberland Heritage Village Museum, 2940 Old Montreal Road or the Ron Kolbus Centre, 102 Greenview Avenue (upper parking lot) on Thursday, May 2, 2019.
