Are you cleaning your closet? Purging? Kelly MacNaull of Stittsville along with the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation is hosting a FUNDrive and wants to hear from you. The FUNDrive is in support of families touched by cancer in our community. Drop off your bags of clothes, small household items to our 1st Annual Fall FUNDdrive!
The FUNDrive is taking place on Saturday, October 17 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm at 106 Westphalian Avenue (Blackstone neighbourhood) in Stittsville where Kelly has opened her home as a collection point for this needed fundraiser. You can also drop off donations at the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation at 1500 Alta Vista Drive from 9:00 am – 12:00pm on the 17th.
Staff and volunteers will be on hand to make your unloading easy – they will be doing all of the heavy lifting. Your support of this FUNDrive will help those people living with cancer by providing local residents with increased access to person-centered care through the delivery of the Cancer Coaching Health and Social Care Service, innovative cancer research and a world-class clinical trials program.
All items must be in good, clean and sellable condition. Below is a list of the items that will be accepted:
- Clothes (bagged) – men’s, women’s and children’s – shoes, fashion accessories, belts, purses, bags and backpacks
- Household Textiles (bagged) – blankets, sheet sets, towels, tablecloths and curtains.
- Small Household Goods (boxed) – kitchen items, decorative items, knick-knacks, toys and games and small electronics.
To add your pledge of the number of bags you wish to donate to the FUNDrive, visit the website here. This will help Kelly to keep tally of the number of bags to ensure the truck is large enough to hold the generous donations from the community.
