January 28: Primary Care Health Hub information meeting
We’re hosting an information meeting about bringing a primary care health hub to Kanata-Stittsvillle at a site on Maple Grove Road.
Similar projects in other municipalities in Ontario have been successful in attracting physicians, registered nurses, and other health care professionals, allowing them to quickly scale up primary care access in their communities.
At this information session you’ll learn from the proponents about the Kanata-Stittsville proposal, details about next steps, and how you can get involved.
Date: January 28, 2025
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Location: St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (2 Mulkins Street, off Stittsville Main Street)
Register for free through Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/primary-care-health-hub-information-meeting-tickets-1138367581079?aff=oddtdtcreator
We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including individuals with disabilities, to fully participate. To request an accommodation or for inquiries about accessibility, please email glen.gower@ottawa.ca or call 613-580-2476.

A list of outdoor rinks in Stittsville
Skating is a great way to stay active during the winter months, and there are plenty of rinks in Stittsville to lace ’em up and get some practice. This year we have 14 outdoor rinks in our community, each one maintained 100% by community volunteers – so please say a big “THANK YOU” to your neighbours for their help. Click here for a list of Stittsville outdoor rinks…
If you’d like to help out with snow clearing, flooding, maintenance or programming at these rinks, please contact our team at glen.gower@ottawa.ca and we’ll connect you with the rink operators.
Etiquette: Remember to stay off the ice during mild weather, and obey any signage posted. All skaters should wear a CSA-approved helmet while on the ice. Please respect the posted schedule, including any posted times for hockey.
