If you haven’t had the opportunity, take some time out of your day to visit the Art Space Wall at the Stittsville Branch of the Ottawa Public Library to view John Edkins’ solo photo exhibition. The exhibit on until April 30th is called “Amberwood” and includes 14 calming and beautiful photographs John has taken on and around the Amberwood golf course in Stittsville over the years.
Program Highlight: Native Plant Gardening with Ottawa Wildflower Seed Library

Save the date – calling all gardeners and plant enthusiasts! The Stittsville Branch will be hosting two gardening events that will be taking place over the May long weekend. The library will be hosting the Ottawa Wildflower Seed Library in the Grace Thompson Room for an information session and the main foyer of the library, the annual Plant Swap event will also be taking place – make sure to bring a plant to participate in both!
Curious about native plant gardening? Join the library for a presentation with Ottawa Wildflower Seed Library; they will provide an overview of native plant gardening and how you can help make a difference in your garden. The Ottawa Wildflower Seed Library is a grassroots organization that promotes gardening with native plants to provide food and habitat for bees, butterflies, insects, birds, and other wildlife. This event will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 2:00pm. Registration is required.
