OC Transpo and Loblaws will join forces for the 40th Annual OC Transpo / Loblaw Holiday Food Drive to support food programs across Ottawa. The last few years have been challenging for many in our community, and this year is no exception. With one in four households in Ottawa struggling to afford enough to eat, your support is more important than ever!
This Saturday’s food drive will be held from 10 am to 5 pm at Brown’s Your Independent Grocer and at Brandon and Megan’s No Frills. Please consider adding an item to your grocery cart that you can then donate to the Stittsville Food Bank who will volunteers at both sites. Non-perishable food items can be placed in the Stittsville Food Bank cage bins located at participating stores.
You can also make a monetary donation at the cash register at participating stores. Your monetary donations will not only help provide non-perishables, but also fresh and nutritious foods like fruit, vegetables, meat, bread, dairy and eggs to those who are accessing food banks in our city. You can also donate online from the comfort of your home on the Ottawa Food Bank’s donation page.
