A gathering of several different local and community choirs will present a Sunday afternoon concert full of beautiful music. Among the choirs is the Goulbourn Male Chorus who will join with the other choirs to take part in a massed choral presentation near the end of the concert.
Also featured will be a piano-organ duet and a solo by Sophia Pierce who has performed at the Ottawa Senator’s hockey games.
This is a benefit concert with a freewill offering and all proceeds will be going to the Multifaith Housing Initiative. Multifaith is a registered charity which works with the City of Ottawa, provincial and federal government partners and private businesses to build and support affordable housing in the City of Ottawa. An example of their work is a community called The Haven located in the Longfields neighbourhood of Barrhaven.
The concert is an Outreach project of St. Thomas Anglican Church with the purpose of helping to provide more affordable housing in our city, including in Stittsville.
