MMLT Annual General Meeting and Special Guest Presentation

Join the Mississippi Madawaska Land Trust (MMLT) for its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 6:00 PM at the MMLT office in Carleton Place.

The evening will open with a virtual presentation by Dr. Jennifer Grenz – an assistant professor and Indigenous Scholar (Nlaka’pamux, member of the Lytton First Nation) at the University of British Columbia. Drawing on her national bestselling book, Medicine Wheel for the Planet: A Journey Toward Personal and Ecological Healing, and the principles of Indigenous ecology, Dr. Grenz will explore how land stewardship can move beyond preservation toward relational restoration – where ecological health, cultural continuity, and governance are understood as inseparable.

The meeting that follows will highlight MMLT’s work over the past year and look ahead to priorities for 2026, including continued efforts to protect ecologically significant lands and connect people with nature.

MMLT’s AGM offers an opportunity not only to stay informed, but to be part of a community working to conserve the natural spaces that define the region. Feel free to bring a friend, neighbour, or colleague with an interest in conservation.

The event is free, but registration in advance is required. Learn more at: mmlt.ca/events
