First traditional advance vote day is Thursday, October 9

(Press release from the City of Ottawa.)

Ottawa electors have another opportunity to make their mark in the upcoming municipal election with the two traditional advance voting days. The first traditional advance vote day is Thursday, October 9, when voting places in each ward are open between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.

The second traditional advance vote is on Saturday, October 18, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Electors can find their voting place on their voter notification letter or by using the “Where Do I Vote?”search tool on ottawa.ca. The search tool will provide the voting places for both of the traditional advance vote days, as well as the actual Voting Day on Monday, October 27.

When going to the voting place, residents are reminded to bring one piece of original identification that shows proof of name and a qualifying Ottawa address. A list of acceptable forms of identification can be found at ottawa.ca/voterID.

Electors were provided their first opportunity to cast a ballot during the Special Advance Vote, which was held earlier this month and featured three voting places that offered ballots for all 23 City wards.
