The Goulbourn Historical Society’s 2015 Photo Contest is up and running and both youth and adults are encouraged to enter. There is no entry fee and there will be cash prizes and an exhibit arranged once the contest is over. All entries will be judged on their merits. Deadline for entry is October 17, 2015.

There are four categories this year: Old and Historic Barns, Rural Mail Boxes, Front Porches and Horses.

“The idea is to record photos that express the historic spirit of Goulbourn Township”, says Society President, Barbara Bottriell. “We hope lots of people will enter. We have such a beautiful community surrounding us.”

All photos must be taken in 2015 and must be located in Goulbourn Township – that is, Munster, Ashton, Stittsville, Richmond and all the agricultural land connecting the communities.

Only two entries per category are permitted for each participant, and each entry must be accompanied by the entrant’s name, the location where the photo was taken, and any descriptive information relevant to the subject of the photo. All photographs entered will become the property of the Historical Society.

All entries should be sent electronically to the following address: photocontest@goulbournhistoricalsociety.org
