Habitat for Humanity is opening a “ReStore” location on Iber Road in 2018, and they’re giving a sneak peek with a pop-up furniture sale this weekend.
The ReStore will be inside a warehouse at 3 Iber Road near Hazeldean. The store accepts donation of new and gently used items and salvageable building materials, then resells them to the public at a reduced cost.
The pop-up sale takes place from Friday, November 17 to Sunday, November 19 from 10:00am-4:00pm. The store is packed with furniture.
Typical items include new and gently used furniture, building materials, appliances, cabinetry, sinks, countertops, household and décor items, and the organization says they’re sold at about half the price of original retail prices.
Donations and purchases support Habitat for Humanity’s mission to bring communities together to help families build strength, stability and independence through affordable homeownership.
This will be the third Ottawa location. A soft launch is planned for February, with grand opening in early April.
