Hazeldean farmer Eldon Craig passes away at age 91

Eldon Craig farmed at the Bradley-Craig farm on Hazeldean Road with his wife Norma for 58 years. He passed away at the Granite Ridge Care Community last week. Here’s an obituary that appeared in the Ottawa Citizen today.

CRAIG, Eldon Roland
March 9, 1925 – November 17, 2016
Passed away with family at his side at Granite Ridge on November 17, 2016 in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Norma (nee Bradley) for 65 years. Eldon and Norma farmed together at 590 Hazeldean Road for 58 years.

Loving father of Brian (Paula) and the late Deborah (Ron). Proud grandfather of Ashley, Aaron, Jennifer and Emily. Dearest brother of Eric (Betty Turner) and the late Laura, Harvey, Myrtle (Cye Moore), Velma (Harold Galloway), Harold (Edna Storey), Orma (Bob Sturrock), Lawrence (Dorthy Loney), Lillian (Ross Duncan), and Iva (Clive Wickware).

Friends may visit at the Carp Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes (115 Rivington Street, Carp, ON) on Friday, December 2, 2016 from 7 to 9 p.m. A celebration of life will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 20 Young Road, Kanata on Saturday, December 3 at 2 p.m.
