HolliBell Foundation is commited to helping animal rescues in Stittsville and throughout the Ottawa valley. At this time of year, they are usually wrapping up plans for their June Doggie Walk-a-Thon held at Sunset Farms on Hazeldean Road. Plans were also being finalized for their attendance at Stittsville’s Blossom Fest sadly cancelled this year.
Caroline Hollingworth, half of the HolliBell team, told us that “HolliBell is half way through their second year as a Foundation and have donated $20,000 this year alone!” Over the short time since being formed, the Foundation has raised over $47,000 in donations. They are working on the sponsorship of mobile spay and neuter clinics. “Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the April clinic was cancelled, but are looking forward to funding another planned to take place in Arnprior in October,” Caroline added.
Things have definitely taken a turn for HolliBell, but not all is lost. Their annual HolliBell Doggie Walk-a-Thon will still be taking place virtually! This year cats will be included in the online Lounge-a-Thon fundraiser.
On June 6 and 7, take your dog for a walk, walk on your treadmill or walk alone, but do take part in this fundraising activity whether you have a dog, cat or not. The amounts raised help the many dogs and cats that require medical attention and HolliBell continues to provide food supplies for local rescues through this crisis. They also provided medical funds to allow the hoof trimming of the Sultan Farm donkeys.
Everyone who registers will be entered into a draw to win a prize pack and there are some spectacular prizes! Photo shoot from Designs by Kiera; Thunderbird Golf Course passes; gift cards from JASK Salon, Authentic Vietnamese Pho House, Mint and Honey, Bone Appetit Pet Company, Earth Rated Waste Baggies; an Eclipse Holistic Healing package; and a garden design from The Avant Gardeners, to name a few of the prize packages. The HolliBell Doggie Walk-a-Thon registration fee is $20.00 – register today at email@example.com.
HolliBell is currently holding their Online Auction to support The Avery Foundation Barn Buddies – Ottawa Area Poet’s Vision, Marshall’s Dog Rescue, Ottawa Rabbit Rescue, Pet Resource Bank, Dickie’s Cause 4 Paws-kitten rescue and all the other animals that can benefit from this auction. We will be supporting low cost spay and neuter clinics, as well as providing emergency funding for rescues. Check it out and donate to this worthy cause.
