The City of Ottawa has announced its 2025 schedule for Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off events. These events give residents a safe and convenient way to dispose of items like paint, batteries, and other hazardous materials that shouldn’t go into regular garbage or recycling.
Hazardous waste can harm the environment and pose safety risks if not handled properly. These drop-off days are managed by trained professionals and follow strict safety and environmental laws. In 2024, nearly 18,000 residents took part, and about 515 tonnes of waste were safely disposed of.
