Inaugural Yakabuski Classic aims to make difference

“Be a good friend… Be a positive person…Influence others’ lives,” Mark Yakabuski

The Yakabuski Classic is an event in memory of Mark (Yak) Yakabuski, who was an avid supporter of community, sports and physical activity. He didn’t work out just to look good he strongly believed that physical activity was paramount in maintaining strong mental health. He also knew the amazing impact that sports can have in life – for mental strength, confidence and overall spirit.

Mark passed away in 2018, but his impact on those around him has not been forgotten and this event is to commemorate his love of life, commitment to community and sport.

This annual event not only celebrates a great person who was influential to so many, but to also support local families and their love of physical activity. Families who understand the importance and impact of sport in a young person’s upbringing, but require additional financial backing to enrol their children.

Thank you for helping keep Mark’s community spirit and legacy alive by supporting deserving local families with this special gift through the Yakabuski Classic.
