It’s a big one and it’s headed our way – snow storm

The City of Ottawa is pulling out all of its equipment and manpower in preparation for the 30-40cm of snowfall predicted for Ottawa on Tuesday and Wednesday. The snow is expected to start on Tuesday afternoon and continue into Wednesday.

If you are driving, cycling or walking proceed with caution and allow extra time for your travel. If following a snow plow clearing snow, be patient and keep a safe distance.

Drivers are also asked to avoid parking on the street, if possible, so that plows can remove snow from streets more efficiently. The City will inform residents if a parking ban is placed into effect via ottawa.ca. Residents can also sign up for an e-alert.

If you are using OC Transpo, please leave extra time for your trip and expect traffic related delays.
