UPDATE: The second show also sold out really, really quickly, so Jim has added a third show on Saturday, February 20. Check his web site for ticket info.
Jim Bryson’s show at Quitters on Friday, February 19 sold out in a matter of minutes, so he’s added a second show the night before. But you’ll have to act fast.
Tickets for the new show on Thursday, February 18 go on sale Tuesday morning, January 19 at 10:00am at jimbryson.org
“Due to the support of my amazing community (that blows my mind frankly), we are adding a second Quitters Coffee show on Thursday Feb 18th,” he wrote on Facebook. “The first sold out by 10:04 this morning! We tried for Saturday, but it would have had to be a “Jim Bryson” themed trivia night… Thank you all so so much. You sure made my Monday.”
The shows will mark the launch of Bryson’s new album, Somewhere We Will Find Our Place. It’s available for pre-order on iTunes and you can listen to the lead track “The Depression Dance” here.
Hard to believe, but Bryson says he hasn’t performed in his hometown of Stittsville since 1985: “For those keeping stats, I have not played a public show in my actual hometown since I played the Lion’s Club in 1985 with Pat Roach and Scott Mannoly.”
